The University of South Alabama Statistical Consulting Center was developed in 2002 and since then has operated successfully under different leaders. The mission of the Statistical Consulting Center is to provide collaborative research assistance to faculty, research staff, and students in all departments of the University of South Alabama as well as those outside the University; to improve the quality of quantitative research performed at the University; and to provide educational as well as research experience to students in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics through training as statistical collaborators. The Statistical Consulting Center is housed in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics.

The members of Statistical Consulting Center can help investigators in preparing grant proposals and research papers, designing experiments, determining required sample size, conducting power analysis, designing questionnaires, conducting statistical analysis of data, etc.

To request statistical consulting (or collaboration from the Statistical Consulting Center) please complete and email  this form to the University of South Alabama Statistical Consulting Center at stat.consulting@babylonpr.comAn initial meeting of a statistical consultant will be scheduled with the client (and your major professor or faculty advisor if you are a student). The main purpose of the initial meeting is to give client an opportunity to describe his/her research project to the members of the consulting team. A typical meeting lasts for up to one hour. The initial meeting is free of charge, but fees for additional services are generally required. Based on this discussion, the consultants will provide a quote for fees for the required services. The client will have an opportunity to review it before continuing with the services provided by the Center.
